Introduction

We've all heard the same when a new product comes out. "This burger is the new Big Mac." "This horror movie is the new Psycho." The product usually never makes it as popular as the item it's compared to but in music one compassion keeps coming up. Saying that BTS is the new Beatles. It makes sense at a surface level, their bands promoting positivity in their music and are reaching huge international success. But is this comparison fair? The Beatles first started as a duet with members John Lennon and Paul Mcarthy. The two self-taught musicians met George Harrison in the early '60s. In 1691 they meet their manager Brain Epstein who got them signed to Parlophone where they met Ringo Starr. Together they formed the Beatles and recorded the song "Please, Please Me". Throughout 1931 they grew in popularity in Britain and " In the fall of that year, when they belatedly made a couple of appearances on British television, the evidence of popular

I love music and more specifically K-pop. I also use social media at an unhealthy amount. Therefore I read about people talking about BTS a world-famous kpop band and the inevitable comparison to European boybands, usually The Beatles or One Direction. I never found these comparisons anything. I just thought that it was bloggers saying things to get clicks. Then I read two tweets about how these comparisons really shouldn't be made. The first was that BTS was only being overlooked because it was marketed to teenage girls and if it was market to adult men it's all that would be shown on the market. Which got me thinking, The Beatles are currently marketed to people who grew up with the band as teenagers and being who complain on Tumblr and Reddit that they were born in the wrong generation. So while I could still see how people could compare the bands I started to disagree. BTS (L-R V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, Rm, Jimin, Jhope.) Then I saw a second tweet shortly after BTS released

Social media

Technology is bad m'kay People use social media so much that it has become what the internet is known for. People spend going through Youtube, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, and Facebook if you're weird. But there are downsides besides watching your ex being happy. The problem is that social media makes people addicted and makes them full of misinformation.  The first problem of social media is how addicting it is. People spend so much time on social media instead of hanging out in real life. Social media platforms tend to be the most used websites on the internet along with streaming sites and Wikipedia. 3 out of 4 adults in America use at least one social media platform.  Misinformation is also a huge problem with Social media. If you've heard of the anti-vax movement, you've heard of the Facebook mom groups blaming everything wrong on vaccines. If you heard of the fat acceptance movement you've heard about people posting Tumblr blogs about their weight. These ar

Wrestling was first sport.

Let's wrestle the facts Footage of the first WWE episode Humankind has been wrestling since John Wreslteton got out of his cave and said to his tribe, "I have an idea." Ok, actually it's a bit more complicated. Wrestling had its roots in Ancient Greece, where it debuted in the first Omplyics but is believed to have been around since before that. This style of wrestling was very different from today. There were very few rules, which made matches a blood bath sometimes. Wrestling was a very popular sport in Ancient Greece and was a way of life for some men. A papyrus fragment, which is paper's ancestor, was found that had instructions on how to wrestle, and it's believed that it came from the 100 AD. If my math is correct that's... a lot of years. In France, there are famous cave paintings that show cavemen wrestling. Meaning that wrestling has existed since the stone age. We have no way to tell if they kept score or what happened when someone won.  Wrestlin

Edison is fraud

History was lying to you History will tell you that Edison created the lightbulb, but history was lying to you! Edison didn't invent, he stole. One person he stole from was Joesph Swan. Swan created a lightbulb with a carbonized paper filament.  All Edison did was improve on the existing design.  Edison tried to patent the design but Swan stopped him. The lightbulb had existed for years before Edison "invented" the lightbulb. 20 inventors were working on improving an existing model.  The first electric lamp was invented in 1806 . Edison improved on the design by increasing the time until the lightbulb burnt out. Edison has done much for science and he should get credit for those. But when came to the lightbulb he should be acknowledged as someone who got the first patent in a competitive field.

Blog about Blogging

I sometimes forget to add pictures on the blogs. I'm terrible and hope to improve with that. Nothing is really stressing me or confusing. I had a few problems trying to figure out how formant but I got it settled. I'm procrastinating but I don't struggle when I do. I use Grammarly to help with spelling and grammar. I comfortable with posting blogs and having classmates read them. I write fanfiction in my free time so this is nothing new to me. I would like to discuss writing tips to make your writing more interesting. I learned that blogs are bigger than I thought.
